Hi, I’m Kimberly Seeherman, event design expert and owner of Events By Fabulous. I’m going to show you how to decorate for a golden wedding anniversary. You can’t go wrong with a beautiful golden dinning table to invite your guests to a lovely dinner. In the video, you can see a lovely spread that we’ve done with a gold tassels linen. We also have some beautiful gold chargers and some wonderful gold votives to bring a little sparkle to the table. I want to show you how to accent and detail.
First of all, I want to talk about this wonderful floral arrangement. I’m using a gorgeous antique glass. To give it more of that golden tone, take a can of silver spray paint and dust the inner edge of the vase with that gold color. I’ve chosen some beautiful field flowers accompanied by flowers that have that gold tone. Lilies have a bit of a peach gold tone, but also incorporate other darker elements. To give the floral a little bit more of a chicer and multi-dimensional look, we’ve added some dark orange and purple accents.
Another great detail to incorporate into your design is a beautiful napkin fold. It’s a single pocket fold. When doing a golden anniversary party, not everything has to be gold.
To add multi-dimension, I’ve chosen a beautiful chocolate Shantung napkin to match with this table. It’s really simple! Lay the napkin down, then fold it in half. Take the bottom lip of the napkin and fold that up. Next flip it over and trifold it on the back. There you have it -a beautiful, little pocket that you can now slip your customized 50th wedding anniversary menu into!
